The real draw to this part of Oregon is the Devil’s Punchbowl itself – a natural sandstone cauldron sculpted into the headlands by the powerful waves of the Pacific Ocean. This geographic formation began as a sea cave, created over hundreds of years from coastal undercurrents. At one point the cave ceiling collapsed, exposing the churning ocean at work.
