One step in front of the other

Just when the need of water is reaching its peak the sand seems endless. The steps of a former lonely traveller slowly fades away by the ever moving sand. Clouds are painting the sky, they remind oneself of the permanently feeling of thirst. And to be honest, they don't look like they are going to pour some rain any time soon. One step in front of the other, sinking away in the loose sand, always continuing after the fading steps hoping to reach the end of this beautiful but harsh environment.
