Botanic Garden Antwerp

The Botanic Garden on Leopoldstraat in Antwerp is a unique green spot in the center of the city. The Botanic Garden has a history of more than two hundred years. You will find here a large number of exceptional trees and shrubs. The collection of herbs has more than two thousand pieces. In the conservatory there is a large collection of cacti and exotic plants. Initially it was the garden with medicinal plants from the adjacent Saint Elisabeth hospital. Since 1926 the garden has been managed by the city administration. In 1950, the Botanic Garden was classified as a valuable landscape.
