PLANETARY CHANGE
The extinction of many animal species — including parrots like these (Ara) — is happening every day, right in front of our eyes.
The planet is being exploited to its limits, and the disappearance of species is the consequence — an irreversible one.
Planetary Change means that change is the only chance for our planet.
If we continue the way we do now, we will push nature too far.
There may be no warning.
And who knows — maybe one day humans will become an endangered species too, just like these parrots.
PLANETARY CHANGE: CHANGE IS A CHANCE.
S.O.S. PLANET EARTH.
This is not a joke anymore — and it never was.
These beautiful animals are disappearing from our planet for good.
Statistics
Several species of plants and animals become extinct on Earth every day — sometimes one species every few hours.
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Red List of Threatened Species currently includes over 44,000 species at real risk of extinction, representing approximately 28% of all assessed species.
Why are they disappearing?
Not “climate” in the abstract.
Us. Humans.
Specifically:
- Habitat destruction (industrial agriculture, urbanization)
- Climate change at a pace ecosystems cannot adapt to
- Pesticides and chemical pollution (especially devastating for insects)
- Overfishing and poaching
- Invasive species
- Plastic, noise, light, and environmental pollution
Earth is entering its sixth mass extinction —
the first in history caused not by a meteorite or volcanoes,
but by a single species.
And that species is the human one.
