Een duiker . . . . . en een Eagle Ray.
Ik was gefascineerd door deze prachtige vissen.
Fijne weekend :)
Info:
The front half of the long and wing-like pectoral disk has five small gills in its underside. Mature spotted Eagle Rays can be up to 5 meters (16 ft) in length; the largest have a wingspan of up to 3 meters (10 ft) and a mass of 230 kilograms.
Underwater the Eagle Ray resembles a gliding bird of prey, no wonder why it got its name. The motion of its rhomboid fins looks like the beating of wings and its nose like a bird's beak. During a dive an eagle ray can be found swiftly and gracefully "flying" past in the blue, or if lucky, during its meal, because unlike planktivorous mantas, eagle rays feed on shellfish, mollusks and crustaceans.
