Muskox I

During our stay in Norway, we got surprised by a snow blizzard during the night. Luckily our tents survived the stormy weather and after shoveling snow for one hour, we were ready to head into the mountains in search of the musk oxen. Our bodies exposed to snow, ice and harsh winds. Dark shapes emerged from the snow and reviled a herd of musk oxen.⁣⠀ I always wanted to photograph musk oxen in arctic conditions. I think It's so impressive to be part of the action, facing the same weather conditions as the musk oxen and see them in their natural environment. This must be the way they lived for many, many years during the ice age.
