Bruine Hyena

Our second stop during our trip to Botswana was Camp Kalahari on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Brown Hyaena Island, the palm dotted island that Camp Kalahari calls home, took its name from the Brown Hyaena. This is the third rarest large carnivore in Africa.
