The Horn of Plenty and the Seagull

Cornucopia Horn of Plenty Hoorn des Overvloeds Fountain Sneek one of the 11fountains build for the 11 cities of Friesland, because of its capital Leeuwarden being the European Capital of Culture 2018. This is the fountain of Sneek. It is build by the German artist Stephan Balkenhol. The statue refers to Fortuna, protector of happiness, wealth and cities. And Sneek has a history of wealth and of loss. So the water coming out of the horn is irregular, which means prosperity comes and goes.
