Watery dunes

9 augustus, 2015
The Dutch dunes are a wide strip of land serving as protection against the ocean. Alas they are higher then the land behind, which is part beneath sea level. The dunes are mostly sand with a view shallow lakes, some low trees and many plants and bushes to keep the sand from blowing away. Thus the dunes have developed their own eco-system and it has created its own special look.
