Digital Art of The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (NATO reporting name: Fishbed) is a supersonic jet fighter aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. Some 50 countries of four continents have flown the MiG-21, and it still serves many nations a half-century after its maiden flight. It is the most-produced supersonic jet aircraft in aviation history and the most-produced combat aircraft since the Korean War.
The MiG-21F13 of the Air Force / Air Defense of the NVA (Serial number: 688, Production number: 1006) is now used as a signpost for the Luftfahrtmuseum Hannover-Laatzen (Aviation museum Hannover-Laatzen) and stands at Parking Place Ost of the Hannover fairground.
