Elya Kèran (NL.1990) is an autodidact photographer, based in the beautiful Netherlands. He’s been dedicatedly focusing himself on portrait & fashion photography, where he holds a high value regarding artistic expression. In whatever form it may be. An unexplainable obsession with imagery is something he always had in himself growing up, but only discovered his potential as a photographer after making a impuls purchase on a camera for self-portraits. It didn’t take long for others to notice his expressive way of putting himself on film and ask him to do the same for them. He uses photography as a means of self-expression, to touch the unrevealed qualities and desires hidden inside himself. Forging all of these factors into images as a way to fabricate visuals where people can connect to the beauty and world Elya sees with his eyes. His goal is to make photographs that will draw the viewers’ attention and will want to inspect every inch of it. Inspiration to Elya comes from the beauty of the now and the future of it. Borderless, limitless and free of constrictions. Whether it’s in the form of a garment, an individual, an important message, soul searching or that of an emotion. Being able to find the beauty in almost anything, his collection of work comes from the desire to capture artistry that ignites the fire of his inner creator and then twisting it to his own unique vision.
